Matt Harper, the Matt Harper Team – Matt is our fearless leader, Realtor and Broker. Matt has been a trusted and dependable Realtor in the Myrtle Beach area for the last 17 years. He is a family man, husband and father to two beautiful girls. As a West Virginia native, Matt enjoys assisting fellow West Virginia natives to find the perfect Myrtle Beach home, second home or lot to build a future home. Guiding his clients through the process of buying or selling in the area is the most rewarding job he could do. After all, it is one of the biggest decisions a buyer or seller makes. Matt has spent many years working in the Cypress River Plantation community, his knowledge of this neighborhood and all of the neighborhoods along the Hwy 707 corridor makes him the perfect choice for buying in the south Myrtle Beach area. Ken Davenport aka Big Daddy – Ken has been a resident local for well over 30 years here in Myrtle Beach. Ken served many years in the hospitality industry along the Grand Strand which is where he picked up his infamous nickname, Big Daddy. He is an advid volunteer, always looking to lend a helping hand. Ken has built strong connections here and it is very obvious as he works very closely with his sphere, making it all the more rewarding when Ken gets to add a new buyer or seller to his long list of happy clients and new friends. Ken lives in the Forestbrook area of Myrtle Beach and considers this to be his real estate “backyard”. He has become an expert at the established neighborhoods and those upcoming new home communities in and around Forestbrook. No matter the need, Ken us up for the challenge. Josh Knight (the Matt Harper Team) – Josh’s first visit to Myrtle Beach, SC was in 2008. He had just graduated from Boot Camp as a Military Police Officer in the U.S Army, and he decided he wanted to spend his military leave at the beach. Originally from Cleveland, OH, he had never visited the ocean at 20 years old. Josh had always heard great things about Myrtle Beach, and decided this was where he wanted to go. Josh’s first experience to the area was one of the most exciting times of his life. Being from the city, he had missed out on what the “beach life” had to offer. During his vacation, he received orders that he would be deploying to Iraq for a year in just two months. Josh immediately made it his goal to move to Myrtle Beach when he returned home from his tour of duty.
Keeping true to his goal, Josh packed everything he owned upon return from his tour in Iraq and made a one-way trip to Myrtle Beach. This move has been one of the best decisions he has made. Now Josh can say, Myrtle Beach truly holds some of his fondest memories. This is where Josh married my gorgeous wife Krista, right on the beach. Theye were very fortunate to make their first home purchase at a young age in Myrtle Beach where there are so many options for a first-time homebuyer. This is when Josh first began to take interest in the local Real Estate market.
Josh ultimately decided he wanted to pursue a career in the civilian sector of Law Enforcement. He attended the SC Criminal Justice Academy and began working at the Surfside Beach Police Department as a Patrolman. During his 5 years working as a Police Officer, he really enjoyed getting the opportunity to know the local business and home owners. At times, Josh would come across situations where he would see people at the lowest points of their life. Helping these people overcome these obstacles is what Josh took the most pride in as being a Police Officer and gave true meaning to the badge that he wore on his uniform daily.
Soon Josh’s goals changed, and as much as he enjoyed the endeavors of Law Enforcement, He decided to make a career change. Josh saw a great opportunity in the Myrtle Beach real estate. He now takes pride in helping people make one of the largest purchases one will make in a lifetime. Finding his clients that perfect dream property here at the beach is such a great experience, because he remembers when he was in those same shoes. Josh dedicates himself to learning everything he can about his clients to help them find exactly what they are looking for. Josh stays committed to being honest and making himself available whenever needed.

Kelly EH Graham – Kelly is a true rising star!! Kelly is a military brat who moved to South Carolina 22 years ago to go to college. She fell in love with South Carolina and never left sixteen years ago after falling in love. She is the former owner and chef of the famous Sea Blue Restaurant in North Myrtle Beach. After selling her restaurant, Kelly decided that working with Buyers and Sellers was her new passion and she quickly rose to the top assisting Buyers and Sellers by introducing them to her favorite town of Murrells Inlet. Kelly has a great passion for all the Murrells Inlet area offers, from beautiful homes and quaint neighborhoods, to great dining establishments and local art. These are the things that keep Kelly’s clients coming back to her time and time again. Kelly is very active in our local Real Estate legislative board and advocates on behalf of all of us for a better local real estate Legislation. She takes equal care of her clients in her consistency to offer them service above and beyond what is expected. Kelly and her husband, Michael, also own a local travel company, Take the Trip-Cruiseplanners. As world travelers, these two have seen some of the most beautiful places this world has to offer and yet, they choose Murrells Inlet to be their home. Jan Fulton – Jan is a Georgetown, SC native and current Murrells Inlet resident. Her knowledge of the area is unsurpassed. Being a born native to our area has some great perks. Jan enjoys meeting new people and sharing her area knowledge of the Grand Strand. She is well versed in guiding her clients through the process of Buying and Selling real estate. Meticulous attention to detail, honesty and dedication is what you will notice working with Jan. If Jan is not out looking for the perfect home for her clients, you will most probably find her playing with her two fur babies, Elvis and Presley. Or, soaking up the sun on the beach! John Collier (The Collier Team) – John Collier retired from Prince William County, VA in 2012. His last position was Chief Deputy Sheriff, which he held for 8 years, after rising through the ranks with the County Police beginning in 1975.
John worked on several important concepts to advance the quality of law enforcement in America including, but not limited to, Critical Incident Stress Management, the AMBER Alert system, School Violence response (now known as Active Shooter Response), and Hostage Negotiation. This experience has provided John with opportunities to understand the importance of listening, team building, and resolving problems to achieve goals.
John became a licensed REALTOR in early 2013, a South Carolina Broker in 2018, and a certified Real Estate Instructor in 2019. He continues to help people buy or sell their home through utilizing the same skill sets of listening, teamwork, and problem solving. His success in the business has provided continuously positive results for his clients.
John has now joined Coastal Tides Realty to move forward in the pursuit of helping people find the perfect home in the Grande Strand area.
Brenda Collier (The Collier Team) – Brenda was born in Washington, DC and raised in Manassas, VA. Her first career was as a teller in a local bank when she was 20 years old. From banking, she moved into the retail financing business. After receiving many awards during her successful years there, an opportunity to become a Mortgage Loan Officer came her way.
Becoming a top producer in the mortgage business provided a grand learning experience in sales. Later she expanded into working in the insurance, health and annuity sales industry.
Brenda moved to Myrtle Beach in early and became a licensed Realtor. With her extensive sales and loan officer experience she felt it was a natural fit. Today, she is focused on working with clients who need the understanding and patience of a Realtor who has experienced the long distance purchase process, and will serve them well.
Melisa Baker – Melisa grew up in the small Nebraska town of Cedar Bluffs where she learned about strong work ethics and keeping your word. When she was 16, Melisa moved to the California Bay Area where she finished school and worked in various administrative/accounting positions. Later she met her husband, Jeff, who was stationed at the Navy base in Alameda, CA. Wanting to have a family they decided to pack up and move to the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia near her husband’s family. Fifteen years and two children later they finally made the move to the Grand Strand.
Having come from a family full of realtors, she decided to get her real license. Melisa loves working with people and enjoys being able to assist clients sell their current home and find their dream home or investment property. Her goal as your advisor is to make the entire buying or selling process as easy and stress free as possible by providing the best possible customer service. Melisa truly believes that no one cares what you know, until they know that you care. That’s why real estate is not only her career, but more importantly her passion. Jeff and Melisa absolutely love living at the beach and having 2 kids, 3 dogs & 2 cats definitely keeps things interesting. Christy Watson – Christy is a born native to the Grand Strand with a graphic design and real estate marketing background. Christy set out twelve years ago to work with top Realtors and developers to make them stand out. She and Matt Harper worked together for eight years before she went to work with Matt exclusively in 2013. Christy works hand in hand with our Sellers creating dynamic marketing pieces to showcase their homes and properties. She enjoys working behind the scenes and showcasing the beautiful area in which we live and work.

Lisa Clark – Lisa was a Navy brat growing up which means she had the opportunity to live many places during her childhood and young adult life. Fourteen years ago, she and her husband, Brian, decided to make Myrtle Beach their home. They sought out an experience Realtor in the area and found Matt Harper. Over the last fourteen years, Lisa and Brian, bought and sold several properties with Matt.
Upon the launch of Coastal Tides Realty, Matt needed a great Office Manager. Lisa was the first person that he thought of. Lucky for us, Lisa decided to join the Coastal Tides Realty team of exceptional people. We are excited for all the Lisa brings to the table and dedication she shows Coastal Tides Realty.
