February is the month where we are checking our weather apps daily to see if we will be having a winter, fall, spring or summer day. Sounds crazy, but it’s true! For most of us, we are use to this type of weather during this time of year and for those that are new to our area, it takes a bit of getting used to. With the weather constantly changing, there is always one consistent thing we can look forward to along the Grand Strand… great events and festivals!!! We wanted to point out a few of our favorites.
February 14th – Daddy Daughter Date Night at Fun Warehouse
This is an event that our Team Leader, Matt Harper, attends with his two daughters annually.

The date starts at 4:00pm and last until 8:00pm

Romance in the Gardens
This event is the perfect setting for our Buyers Agent, Josh, and his lovely wife to attend.
Thursday at 3 PM – 5 PM
Brookgreen Gardens
1931 Brookgreen Dr, Murrells Inlet, South Carolina 29576
Celebrate Romance in the Gardens by renewing your wedding vows on Valentine’s Day at 3 pm! A nondenominational ceremony will be held at the Great Dane Gates, leading into Oak Allee. Each couple will receive a personalized certificate and professional photograph. Music provided by harpist, Rebecca Nissen. A Southern Cake reception will take place after the ceremony and champagne will be served, along with punch, cake, nuts, and mints. Each bride will also receive a miniature bouquet of flowers.
The cost is $40 for member couples and $50 per non-member couples, which includes admission to the gardens. Tickets can be purchased beginning Saturday, January 19 at 12:00 a.m. EST. Event limited to 50 couples. Facbook Event: Romance in the Gardens

February 16th – GsSCENE 11th Annual Oyster Roast
This is one of that our Admin and Marketing person, Christy, attends every year. 
The Shuckin’ on the Strand Oyster Roast is the Grand Strand’s largest oyster roast, open to the public and serving up oysters, food and fixins to sold-out crowds of over 500 attendees. The eleventh annual Shuckin’ on the Strand Oyster Roast hosted by gsSCENE will be held Saturday, Feb. 16, from 12-4 p.m. at the Hot Fish Club at 4911 Highway 17 South Business in Murrells Inlet with live entertainment by the Paul Grimshaw Trio. All proceeds benefit the 13th annual Subtitues for Santa on December 3, 2019.
Attendance is limited and purchasing tickets in advance is recommended. Adult tickets are $30, which includes all you can eat oysters, one plate of food and fixins and two draft beers. Kids 8 and under are $10.
Tickets will be picked up at will-call at the event under the last name of purchaser if purchased online before Friday, Feb.15. Tickets also can be purchased at the door day of event.
Saturday, February 16, 2019 from noon-4p.m.

The Mother and Son Ball is an opportunity to build strong young gentlemen while showcase a mother’s love for her son/s.
The refinement of an optimistic, inspiring and charming mother and son relationship is dire in the raising of a young gentlemen’s self-esteem. Without this relationship, he will look for this “support” in another place (usually in the heart of the most detrimental personalities and situations).
By producing a safe, amusing, interactive event in which both mother and son can generate memorable memories, the groundwork is positioned and constructed upon, and the route to his sense of importance and worth is established.
