Get Ready for a Magical Holiday Season in Myrtle Beach!

This year, as we start to embrace the spirit of the season, we’re excited to share with you the most fantastic holiday-themed events that are coming to the Myrtle Beach area. Whether you’re a local resident or planning a holiday getaway, there’s something for everyone to enjoy during this festive season.

Winter Wonderland at The Beach

For the first time ever, the Burroughs and Chapin Pavilion Place is being transformed into a Winter Wonderland this Christmas season. This extraordinary event promises to create unforgettable memories with ice skating, live entertainment, twinkling light displays, and numerous opportunities for holiday photos. The cost is affordable, with $7 for adults, $5 for children, and free admission for kids 4 and under. You can rent skates for $20 or bring your own for just $15. This Winter Wonderland is open daily 5-9 p.m. from November 24 through January 1, 2024, making it a perfect destination for families and friends to gather and celebrate.

The Great Christmas Light Show

North Myrtle Beach Park and Sports Complex welcomes you to drive through The Great Christmas Light Show, where over 2 million lights illuminate a two-mile drive, synchronized to your favorite holiday tunes. Don’t forget to stop by Santa’s Village for photos with the Elf on the Shelf, and Santa & Mrs. Claus. The village offers a free petting zoo, delicious treats, a s’mores-friendly fire pit, and a Rockin’ Christmas Tree show every 30 minutes. Admission is $15 per car when Santa’s Village is closed and $20 per car when it’s open. The Great Christmas Light Show runs from November 20 to December 30 (closed Thanksgiving Day, November 23, and Christmas Day), providing an enchanting experience for visitors of all ages.

Intracoastal Christmas Regatta

Celebrate the 39th annual Intracoastal Christmas Regatta on November 25, starting at 5 p.m. This magical event begins at the Little River Inlet and travels south to Dock Holiday’s Marina. Gather your family and watch the parade as it passes various viewing areas along the waterway. Watch beautifully decorated boats adorned with festive lights and décor as they glide down the waterway. The best part is, this event is free to the public, but spectators are encourage to donate toys & more, allowing you to spread holiday cheer while enjoying a unique experience.

Nights of A Thousand Candles

Experience the breathtaking beauty of Brookgreen Gardens at Nights of A Thousand Candles, where thousands of hand-lit candles and sparkling lights transform the gardens into a magical wonderland. The event features captivating lights draped from enormous live oaks and hand-lit candles near the statues. Enjoy live entertainment performances every evening, including some performances from local high schools. Tickets must be purchased in advance, with member rates of $25 for adults and $12 for children (ages 4-12), and non-member rates of $30 for adults and $15 for children. This annual event is held from November 25 to November 26, and every Wednesday through Sunday from November 30 to December 31.

A Very Broadway Christmas Parade

On December 4, don’t miss the annual Christmas Parade at Broadway at the Beach. Starting at 11 a.m. you can watch local businesses from Broadway and beyond as they throw out candy, prizes, and more from their festive floats. Admission is free, and after the parade, enjoy sidewalk sales and a fireworks extravaganza at 8 p.m. It’s a perfect way to embrace the holiday spirit and support local businesses.

Holiday Celebrations at The Market Common

The Market Common is a hub of holiday excitement this season. Join in the festivities at their annual Tree Lighting Ceremony on November 19, where Santa will make a grand entrance, and there will be special performances from 5-7 p.m. in front of the Grand 14 Movie Theater. Take advantage of FREE Holiday Carriage rides on November 19, December 3, 7, 10, 14, 17, and 21 from 4-7 p.m. It’s a fantastic opportunity to enjoy the holiday season with your family and friends.

Lighting of the Landing

On November 18, Barefoot Landing invites you to the Lighting of the Landing, hosted by everyone’s favorite weatherman, Ed Piotrowski. The event kicks off at 6 p.m. and features a live DJ, face painting, visits with your favorite characters, live entertainment, and a dazzling fireworks show after the tree is lit. This is a free event that offers fun for all ages and an ideal way to start your holiday season with a bang.

Surfside Beach Christmas Parade

The annual Surfside Beach Christmas Parade is set for December  at 2 p.m. The parade will take place along Ocean Boulevard and Surfside Drive, featuring many of your favorite local businesses and even some beloved Christmas characters. Arrive early to secure the best views and don’t forget to wave to Santa & Mrs. Claus as they pass by in this heartwarming community event.
